Why We Show Our Red Angus Cattle
Although a picture is worth a 1000 words, viewing the real animal is what counts. We have a choice; either take the people to the animal or the animal to the people. Since it is virtually impossible to get thousands of people to come to your yard, we take the animals to the people in the form of shows. Although the accolades of the show ring are nice to have, the real purpose of the show is to have people stop to talk with us at the stall and discuss cattle, genetics, and the industry. The number of wonderful people we have met on the show road is phenomenal.
What About Winning Championships?
Although we have won awards in the show ring, the show ring is still just the show ring. We are proudest of our live cattle that we have exported to Denmark, and just recently to South Dakota. These are cattle from our own breeding program that have gone out to work well for someone else. The new owners have become good friends and who can ask for much more than that.

We are proud to have won The Carhart Ambassador Award at Farmfair 2000. This award is presented to the exhibitor who effectively promotes, markets and contributes to the overall breed through committees: locally, provincially, and nationally. |

About the Cattle We Show
When choosing our show animals, we try to present a fair representation of our breeding program including spring calves, yearlings, and mature animals.
