Red Angus Specialists

In 1984 we decided to move into the purebred industry and purchased 20 head of Red Angus, which has grown to a herd of 186 breeding females. Our philosophy is to "produce cattle that are consistently strong in functional, maternal, and carcass traits" . We only run red angus cattle, no other breed and no commercials.

Every year on the third Saturday of February, we hold our annual "Top Genes Sale", where we sell approximately 40 of our bull calves, and several two year olds. The rest of the bulls are sold in the yard by private treaty after the bull sale. There are no bulls sold before the sale.

Along with our strong commitment to local domestic sales, we have also focused on the international market. In the past we have successfully exported bred heifers, and heifer calves to producers in Denmark, where one was crowned "best in Denmark ". Recently we have also exported bred heifers to South Dakota.
